I was thinking...
We're finally starting to get our Reviews section going with some momentum over at Macologist... with both mod & game reviews...
And we're starting to go back to the 'obvious choice' games we never did review, such as UT2004, BF1942, CoD.
I know so many wonderful folks and good writers over here at [MA] that I wanted to ask here first, if anyone would like to write a UT2004 review for us.
Basically, what I'm looking for to differentiate our review from other sites is the "insider's view".
This can mean anything, but in this case, some "insider things" to touch upon could be:
1) The Mac UT2004 scene (who are the clans, pubs, etc.)
2) The passing of the mantle from UT99, UT2003, to UT2004, and beyond. (Addressing the heavy weight of UT99)
3) The custom content possibilities (CBP and onwards)
4) The full conversion mod world.
5) Pros & cons of UT2004 on Mac
6) Running a server
or wtvr your heart desires to write about-- you guys are the experts.
And of course: graphics & sound, FPS performance, SP, MP, replay value, and a star rating out of 5 stars.

While I'm not qualified to write any such reviews, I like the idea and think that it might be good to have a few contributors that could each review specific game types, like ONS and Assault in addition to the more traditional DM and CTF. I know we have members who prefer (and seem to be pretty good at) the various game types, and they're so different that they (the game types) might as well be completely different games.
Keep thinking, Santa - you seem be good at it...

I could review 2k4 from the perspective of someone who spent oodles of hours playing UT99 and still sucked. 
In line with what Dana pointed out, I'm mostly here to play the older UT99- style games; I just can't get the hang of flying and driving. I think 2k4 cuts the mustard from my retro perspective; tons of fun.

In the thread in MA General, CG5Addict was going to write the article, with info from DocB. It turns out that he will not have time to write the article, so I'd be happy to have anyone else do it.
Braniac has raised his hand, so I'd be honored if you could do it If you want someone else to do the ONS subsection, that would be fine with me. Let me know what your Macologist.org login accounts are, and I will give you internal staff forum access so you can post drafts, and otherwise spam our staff. I'm not sure what Doc was going to contribute, but it sounded promising, so we could touch bases with him too.
Koola, if you want to write a mouse FAQ, I will post it in our permanent knowledgebase at Macologist.
