os 6 on sega Genisis

I have a sega genisis and it has a 68000 processor in it. could I buy a cartridge that i can put my own games on and load system 6 on it. would it be able to run this operation. Would I need to over clock the processor to 18 MHz or will it even work?

You'd need a mac Plus ROM, one hell of a lot of luck, some machine code, and a PhD in soldering. Some electronic engineering experience might not hurt, either.

So, not bloody likely. A team of several people might get it to work. Someday. If you're rich, go right ahead and hire 'em. I'd buy one.

Re: os 6 on sega Genisis

Well, yeah. After all, any computer can emulate any other computer. In theory, it could even be accomplished completely in software; a Mac ROM and a hardware abstraction layer would do it.

But the crux of the matter is that a Mac is more than a 68000 CPU and System 6, and the majority of that "more" is missing from a Sega Saturn.
