confused so I just got photoshop 5 setup on this mac..
& i noticed that any picture I open it it looks off.. blues are purple, whites are dirty brown.... it keeps goin..

if I open the same images in ie, netscape, picture viewer .. hell use it as a background its fine.. but in photoshop its. crap.. I figure it haas something to do with the color settings but I have no idea how to jig them to werk.. HELP!

In PS 5, if you set the color to US pre-press defaults you should be just fine.

Other than that, it sounds like you might have a bad profile somewhere.
