Id releases Enemy Territory OSX Full Install

If you don't know already, go find a mirror. Sorry if this isn't news, but it just came out today.

There are lots of threads around <cough> other boards too, keep up on all of the posts if you can.

Mine doesn't even get to the splash screen, just the orange one, and the green console, then blam. sad I've got some crash logs in to Brad too, although I think at this point it's my system being woefully out-of-date. Panther upgrade, here I come!

Re: Id releases Enemy Territory OSX Full Install

Are you sure it's your system, not a bad download?

Don't know if it's any help, but I just read this:

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Do not download 'Wolfenstein Enemy Territory 2.60.dmg'
download 'Wolfenstein Enemy Territory 2.60-2.dmg' instead. The first setup that went online has permission bugs

Looking around, you need to forget 2.60-2.dmg, but look at the file name itself.

Wolfenstein Enemy Territory 2.60.dmg has problems, wolfet2.60.dmg is the one you want.

Yeah, two main issues: it'll crash on 10.2.8 (use 10.3) and the initial installer gave the wrong permission to the files, so it wouldn't run or would give you strange error messages. Using 10.3 and the fixed installer should solve most of those problems.
