let me start with saying that I spent most of my day in InDesign. I hate the new IDCS2 icon! along with GoLive, Illustrator, Bridge. Photoshop... eh, I can live with it. Top it off with the fact that the Acrobat 7 icon doesnt match the series, AT ALL!

INDESIGN
Much will be said, and as I mentioned I've spent roughly 5 minutes playing in each app... IDCS2 either does not, or I can't find a way, save back to ANY previous versions.

Interface is pretty slick, not sure if I like the palattes or not. time will tell. Most things look pretty much the same. A nice install feature is that i copied my plug-ins from CS.

PHOTOSHOP
New, Open and Save dialogs pretty much the same, sports the new Adobe Save Interface along with the rest (and the option to use the OS save dialog if you wish). Save formats have a few extra options.. Portable Bitmap and Large Document Format. Smart Sharpen looks handy.

BRIDGE
I think this might just be the BIG HIT app of the series. Kind of like the Browser in photoshop, but on steriods. big previews and pretty icons (with a slider adjustment for size, ala iPhoto) and a double click of ANY icon will launch the file in it's respective app. Give Star ratings to files, add comments/keywords, view metadata... preview any page of a PDF in the preview pane. NICE!

ILLUSTRATOR
Sports a new context related toolbar similar to InDesign CS... for example you select an object it give options relating to the size, stroke, color, position, etc. Select type and the type palette appears with all of your type options. This will be handy in keeping a million palattes out of the way

GOLIVE
The least used Adobe app on my computer. I update my website with it, but it's a very limited use of tools... basically typing is all I do in it so I can't comment too much on what's new.

ONE LAST THING:
it REQUIRES Activation. Boo! Hiss!
