Re: Monitoring Sex Offenders

It's not molestation/rape when a female does a male (or another female)! It's called mentoring!!!

She looks pretty hot, btw. Too much makeup.

She has several fan clubs (on the usenet).

Description of one of her crimes: her then-boyfriend (they weren't married yet) was obsessed with screwing her younger sister, so one night Karla drugged her sister with anesthetics she stole from work (a vet's), raped the sister, watched as the boyfriend raped her, then discovered they'd given her too much and killed her. They weren't caught because the cops thought she'd just had too much to drink. Only later did they find out -- the happy couple had videotaped the whole thing.

Her own sister. It was Christmas; Karla made a present of her sister. The sister was fifteen at the time.

Her own sister? evil

How long has she been in jail? She should serve lifetime.

There was competition between the Toronto cops and the St. Catherine's cops (outside Toronto). The St. Catherine's police chief wanted to keep the case on his turf, for the noteriety. He rushed through a deal with Karla (for her to testify against her husband) in order to keep the case in his jurisdiction, even though there were increaseing signs that she was seriously guilty herself.

Nowadays (a decade later) that plea deal is considered a tragic and outrageous error.

Actually there was plenty of incompetence and misconduct in that case.

Re: Monitoring Sex Offenders

If we're going to GPS sex offenders, why not reckless drivers? For serious. My brother and two of his friends were almost killed by a guy who'd had his license suspended after having almost killed other people with his car on three other occassions. But as long as nobody was dying, the worst the state would do to him was suspend his license, which didn't exactly stop him from getting behind the wheel. The guy is still out there, like a bomb waiting to go off -- and I'm sure he's not the only person like this. Let's rig up some fancy technology to stop these people from driving.
