for my part...i'm requesting a map... Gold rush is one of my favorite... but i played Super Gold Rush 2... with more way to get gold... i dont know about you...but i prefer a bigger map than a normal map... like axis lab...

is it possible?

I'm going to look into replacing radar with one of the original RTCW conversion maps, and possibly adding super gold rush 2.  I also came across a sniper map on another server that was pretty fun.  Look for the new maps to appear later this week or possibly during the weekend.

In regards to the forums, the one here will stay, and I'll look into opening the private forum on the other site.  The forum admin here is looking into adding the features of phpbb that are missing (private messages and polls) but it may take some time.

ETPro gives you all the admin stuff you need, as well as hitsounds, ability to set skill upgrades, starting skills, individual hvy weapons restrictions, on individual maps.  WAAAY better hitboxes and anti lag, being able to remove grass on Radar server side, as well as different mapscripts like blowable back door on Battery, spawn at command post for allies on Fuel Dump.  You can also set ROF for either rtcw or et style, I could go on.
plus, you need it for leagues and tourney's, the 3.2 "Official" version will be out for QuakeCon, where ET will be prominently shown,  /mehopes

I belive altivec said he prefered ETPub because it has more of a public style of play, instead of competition style. I really don't have much input on ETPro since I have not really played on servers with it.

The official shrub hasn't been updated since 2003, and what looks to be an unofficial version is not compatible with 2.60.

One of the biggest reasons why I went with etpub is that it allows xp save across campaigns, where etpro does not.

More Changes:

- Server upgraded to etpub v0.4.4 (from 0.3.2).  Full changelog here.
- Poison needles enabled for medics.
- Timelimit for supplydepot raised to 20 minutes (was 15 minutes).
- XP required to raise rank for all classes raised by 25%.  Defaults were 20XP for level 1, 50XP for level 2, 90XP for level 3, and 140XP for level 4.  Changed to 25 - 62 - 112 - 175.  This was done primarily because XP is saved on the server.

goomba kills & shoving are both enabled.  Instead of +salute for shoving use the 'use' key.  Same goes for corpse dragging.

Is hitsounds enabled so that you can type /hitsounds in the console?  Also, can we up the shove amount so that it is equal that of the old [ma] server?

Shove is set to 40, I'm not sure what it was set to on the old server.

ok guys, etpro is the thing, i dont really know the mod, and shrubs, but geez...i played on some server with etpro 3.1.13 WOW i must say, i know we don't really need it, but the playing style is completly nice... well the big change is the fireteam....you now know exactly where your guys are, and if someone need a medic, it will appear in the fireteam window...

the 3.1.13 option give personnal options, like hitsounds, and kinda more (cant really remember)... anyway our (or alti) server is rocking... like people said, alot of people drop at radars...

for my parts, i really do want gold rush2, and lugnut had the idea to replace radar OR railgun (no one love these maps, i think tongue) by venice...

At some point in the future (probably early sunday or monday morning), I'm going to set the server up with 3 campaigns:

Orignal 6 map campaign
Custom ET maps (venice, glider, supplydepot, rommel, axis lab, super gold rush 2)
RTCW conversions (airstrip, marketgarden, depot, ice, assault, and whatever other conversions I can find).

I'll set the server up to rotate between the 3 of them, and will enable people to vote on different campaigns.

over 100MB of new maps are now on the server.  they are on a fast redirect, but I hope all of the downloads do not turn people off from the server.  Campaign voting is now enabled, and the server is set to rotate through all of the campaigns except for europe and africa (but you can still vote for them).  There is a 20GB/month cap on the redirect, so please try and grab them from alternate locations before connecting.  the maps noted above are what the server is now running.

server is now running objective with the new maps & voting enabled until i can get the bugs with my custom campaigns fixed.  for some reason with the custom campaign the server will switch to objective instead of campaign after the map loads.

I got rid of marketgarden and depot, and replaced them with oasis and fueldump.
