Hey guys I love apple and I seem to be the only one in my family who does. I have a apple Ibook G3 576RAM and running on panther. But its just time to say good bye. I came from a very artsy private school and love to edit pictures and make movies.

Now the dilema-I've been looking at the ibook G4 and wondering if I should by it, or just have my parents by me a dell and wait till I go to college for them to buy me a powerbook (hopefully G5 by then)????

if I do decide to get an Ibook should I go with the 14in. 1.25GHz and wait with ram, or get the 12in 1.20GHz and buy built in RAM for it. I just don't kno if I wanna spend the money do u think its going to be worth it?

personally, i'd go with the iBook in a heartbeat... it's a lot better than suffering in dell hell for 3 years... if you go with their entry-level model and get a 256mb ram upgrade, you're left with a pretty sweet machine for school purposes...

though, if i were you i would wait until about a week after the macworld expo boston, which takes place july 11-14... i suspect apple might release an upgrade to their ibook line by then...

yeah I don't kno if I can live with a dell so yeah im prolly gettin a ibook and I was going to give it to my self as a birthday present which is at the end of June so I'll just watch the expo to see if there are anyupgrades to the ibook
