Which is "better" Folding at Home, or United Devices cancer project?
I originally started running Folding at Home on my Macs, just because I couldn't run the United Devices client.
I've been wondering though if one is considered more useful. It seems like the UD Grid.org project is done through Oxford, but I'm not sure what happens to the results, while Folding @ Home seems to be above board, so to speak.
Anyone know which, if either, is "better" to be running?

I guess this means the results from the Cancer thing are owned by Oxford, and sold/licensed to other companies? Any comments?

I think your analysis is as good as any. I'm sticking with Folding.
Team Folding: Most Intel Mac users can upgrade to Folding@Home version 6.26.1

I'm Wolfpup on there. #171 right now. I discovered one of my systems wasn't folding for Macaddict, so I've switched it over. Only 18 work units done so far according to that list

Re: Which is "better" Folding at Home, or United Devices cancer project?
I just noticed that Grid.org has some sort of folding project now too.
I'm throughly confused! I really wish I knew for sure what good these different projects did, and which was the "best" from a "good for humanity" standpoint.
I'm also wondering if effort is being duplicated. Like if Folding@Home and the new Grid.org folding project are working on some of the same things.
Oh well. At least Folding@Home supports more than just Windows, and has a good command line interface that's fairly easy to understand, and that can send back a work unit without retrieving a new one (useful when you're going to reinstall the OS or things like that).
Sounds like Folding@Home actually sends different units to systems with different amount of power, or even with different CPUs?
