Spending money on entertainment is fine, but same money gets you a decent amount music that is yours to keep if you buy used CD's or are a member of a CD club and buy when the sales happen (what I do). You then own the music and have something to show for it, rather than nothing to show for it.

I am interested in Sirius for the same reason I have satellite tv, plus a couple others:

I  could stay with free broadcast tv (which may be history in a few years), and I would get 4 snowy channels. Our repeater goes out often too, it was out for 3 days last week. There lots more choices with Dishnet - including Sirius music channels ( but not news or talk for some reason).

Sure, I could buy CDs, but I would have to buy every CD that comes out so I could sample it and see if I like it, because my radio choices are limited to the Garth Brooks station or the Mariah Carey station. I'd rather gouge my ears out than listen to that, and it would cost way more than $13 a month to buy all those Cds.

Correct me if I am wrong, but do you hear a band's music before you buy their CD - maybe on the radio or a music tv channel -  or just blindly buy based on cover art, or your friends' indesputable and impeccable taste in music?

I travel and tailer camp alot, and satellite gives me choices anywhere I go, radio certainly doesn't, unless one limits one's camping experience to metropolitan areas. (I'm not a 'climb Mt Everest' kinda camper, but pine trees are a nice touch in my camping experience.)

Re: Sirius Satellite Radio enabled Apple iPo

Personally I am so tempted to ditch the iPod in favor of a MyFi but just haven't got around to it.  My iPod shuffle works great for my prerecorded audio but the vast choices of XM are what I like.  Currently in my car I have an Alpine radio that has a 20gb iPod connected along with XM radio.  I find that 80% of the time I am tuning into XM 202 the next 10% is Sporting News Radio and the last 10% is between music channels and the iPod.

I see the title.  What are you talking about?

iMac, iPod, iPhoto, iMovie, iPo. tomfoolery helps make my point.

What is an iPo?

What is an iPo?

It's apple's foray into toilet products.
It makes taking a dump a really simple process for the end user, whilst maintaining style and cutting edge technology.
