Running a campus network server
I'm sure I could find the answer to this in 4 minutes online (or maybe 1), but I'm lazy. I have my nice gaming box, my PB laptop, and a router. In my dorm room this year will I be able to run a network off the PB (G4 1.33 GHz 768 RAM), and play on my PC?

as in internet sharing? ...yea, most likely. You'll need to have two different means of networking ...ie. Airport and Ethernet

As in a server for ET. Sorry if that was confusing. Only one ethernet port in the room, with a router hooked into that, and then my gaming PC and my apple laptop both plugged into it.

Should, If you have the port open on your router. I don't see why you cannot.

Re: Running a campus network server
you might be able to run it for a while off and on, but if you try running a dedicated server, whoever runs the network will see the bandwith spike and probably shut you down. They don't like wasting their precious bandwith on video games
