Font maker?

Im looking for a program that i can make my own fonts. How can you make your own fonts?

Fontographer is the classic professional font tool. But it has been out of production for years and only runs on pre-OS X systems. I think you can run it under Classic, but you have to install the non-FPU version. Macromedia still sell it at an outrageous price.

Otherwise, I would do a search at versiontracker.com. There must be a few others out there.

I went and checked all over versiontracker.com couldnt find anything for os x.
