So bad it must be intentional...
http://plaidpantry.com/
This is a local convenience store chain in the Pacific NW. It's shockingly bad.

function mmLoadMenus
I hate that function. I hate it hate it hate it.
I'm betting that this company has a 'good-enough' philosophy. Or is a sole-proprietorship who has a personal connection to the webmaster (maybe their child) and is allowing the webpage to be a 'learning experience'
but that's just one possible excuse...

It's not the site, it's your browser. You need to scroll to the bottom to upgrade.
But I do agree that page isn't doing them any favors. It's tough to accept that you've just spent hundreds of hours on something that isn't worth a dime. But then, I can't imagine a whole lot of convenience store customers often visit the store's website.

For a company that's a bit bigger than a "Mom & Pop" operation, it's pretty bad, but I've seen much worse. I just came across this a few minutes ago. Don't you think putting the navigation on the bottom of every page is a really special touch.

At least in the browser upgrade thing it mentions Netscape and Firefox. Most sites would just reccomend you "upgrade" to IE.

Frames? Check. Tables? Check. With borders? Check. Animated GIFs? Check. We got a winner here!

Well, this bit is priceless:
"This site is being revamped at the moment (20th April) - Please check back again later in the week - Thank you"
It's also kind of them to ensure that their site will remain viewable if I choose to lower my display resolution from 1400x1050 to about 640x480, should I lose my mind and choose to do so.

It's also kind of them to ensure that their site will remain viewable without redraw if I choose to lower my display resolution from 1400x1050 to about 640x480, should I lose my mind and choose to do so.

Wow, just, wow. The Plaid Pantry site is just, wow. Anyway, I clicked around to some of the sections, and as I was reading the "Assoc. Page" I started hearing strange noises. Figured out that the noises were coming from my computer, so I turned up the volume and sure enough, that page has an embedded sound file to boot! How fun!
It's all about the Hamiltons, baby.

*sigh* Somewhere people are visiting that site and are saying "Wow! That's great!" *sigh*
Look at it this way: you've sold as many paintings as Van Gogh—and you have both your ears.
Thanks, Dad.

Re: So bad it must be intentional...
The width seems ok to me, what browser are you using?
Also the site says 'The site is still under construction, please check back soon!', i think you guys are very cruel.
I also checked out the portfolio on www.mad-designs.org and think it is ok. They are obviously getting work which is more than i am doing at the moment.

Maybe he wishes this page was a little wider
If it is under construction why is in online?
You aren't allowed to walk into a building while it is under construction. There could be dangerous things that could hurt us on those not completed web pages. Falling tags and what not.
