Honestly, XYZ has had a good chewing out coming for a good long time. If it weren't for the fact that XYZ is perpetually pushing buttons, he wouldn't have been the target of any hard feelings.

i'm of two minds about it.
on one hand, alien should be able to post as a regular user when he wants, and not have to take the high ground. but, obviously, he should have to play by the same rules as the rest of us when he does. in this case a two week ban or whatever the hell a normal member would get for that. if not, expect more members to call XYZ a whiny bitch and wish death upon closetcase.
on the other hand, XYZ is a whiny bitch and closetnokx is a tool so everything alien posted was accurate.

The way I see it...
As far as a mod goes, yeah, you should have free reign to behave as you will within the rules when you post. Just like being a normal member.
But when doing something that requires mod powers ---perhaps the attitude, personality, et al., should go. But really, only when doing that lock or edit or whathaveyou.

Ok then, how bout you guys try moderating more than one forum and having to not only deal with people in them, but also others who might get annoying in the rest of the forums. Its not as easy as some might think i'm sure. Alien as far as I can tell has done a good job modding his forums, and here he barely lets loose on someone like most of us would do from time to time and already you all are calling for blood, guts, and everything meaty. Yeah i'd probably be a lil upset if I was roughly told to shutup like that but then for me, i'd have to have really earned that by pissing off more than just one mod. And in my case I would have most likely completely skipped a name calling and gone right for the golden 2weeker 
. Go out with a blaze of glory eh? 
Anyways if he was being rather annoyed overtime by XYZ's antics then as a mod i'm sure it would dig into you more, trying to play nice while keeping things under control. I'm sure a lot of ppl would reach the point where they couldn't quite refrain from using more colorful words. Wow, it is really some phenomenol power the mods have when they can't even act a lil human like the rest of us without worrying about reprocussions

Alien's a good guy, I know something can be worked out here if some of you folks would allow it. Calling for blood is not helping anyone.
