Who's your cell provider, and are you happy???
What Cellular “provider” are you using? And are you happy with them?
I hate mine, Cingular has not been good to me, not to mention the “PDA connect” pricing is ridiculous. The only thing they have, is good coverage. I’m thinking of going to Nextel, but I just don’t know.
Any’who, if you could, list who you’re with, and a thumbs up or thumbs down, and why. That would be much appreciated. Thanx!

Nextel == Sprint w/ yellow + black lettering
I go through a local provider, Cellcom, which allows me to pick up a signal almost anywhere in Wisconsin. Even up in the "northwoods". They're great.
For 49.95 a month (plus 9.95/mo x 2 for two shared lines), we share 1000 anytime minutes, 250 mobile to mobile, free night + weekend calling, and free incoming texts/10¢ to send. And free three-way calling! w00t w00t! They're pretty good, and they're fairly knowledgeable.

I also use Virgin. Since I barely use 60 minutes a month, any plan I would purchase would cost way too much and give me more than I need. I've not had any problems with it exept when I'm underground on BART (no reception), but that really isn't a big a problem.

Verizon. I'm alright. I'm not even sure what plan I have because my father just pays a bulk fee for himself, my sister and me. And I usually don't have too many calls so for the most part the fact that I have a cell phone is moot. But I do like the fact that Verizon seems to catch signals in areas my T-Mobile cohorts do not.

ATT/Cingulat. All right, I guess, although I would like to upgrade my phone to something more useful.

Verizon. We are happy customers and my husband is a happy employee! Given the rigorous training their CSR's receive, and the heavy handed way in which the rude ones are dealt with-I can tell they take good care of customers. I've compared coverage in our rural area and Verizon is able to catch a signal where other carriers cannot.

Re: Who's your cell provider, and are you happy???
I have US Cellular which is probably owned by someone else. They have been the best I have had out of TracPhone, Sprint and US Cellular. I Pay 49.95 for 800 anytime, unlimited N&W and unlimited mobile to mobile. I am also on a nationwide plan, so no roaming and no long distance. My folks recently added a second line to my plan, so we can talk to each other and we use them for all our long distance calls. I am very happy with the service and everything was explained clearly. I have never had troubles with reception, even when going to northwestern Wisconsin with all the hills and very scattered towers. Sprint was terrible where I live. There was coverage in all the major cities, and along the highways, but anywhere else I was on analog roam. They have added more towers, but reception was still VERY spotty.

Sprint. Yes I'm happy with them. Zero problems.

Incoming text messages accrue no incidental fees, but you are charged 10¢ to send them. Three-way calling is included with our plan as well. They're pretty good, and they're fairly knowledgeable.

T Mobile. Love it. Get what i need for the price i want. I'm a former Sprint user. While i was happy with the service, they were just charging too much.

Re: Who's your cell provider, and are you happy???
Alltell. The coverage is great, but the billing and customer service suck. My wife goes over our bill each month, because it is invariably incorrect: billing us for minutes that should be in our plan, charging roaming when we have nationwide freedom, etc. Where I live, they have the best network. Sprint is useless, and Cellular One is nearly so.

I sell through a local company.

Re: Who's your cell provider, and are you happy???
Tracfone here. It's fairly cheap for me but I don't really need a ton of minutes or fancy phone features. The rate per minute deals you get from them are kind of rippy.
The big advantages are the fact I don't need credit for it. I don't have to deal with contracts, and I always know when my minutes are going to run out or my service is gonna expire.

T-Mobile prepaid. Cheaper than Virgin. Seems to get the job done.

Re: Who's your cell provider, and are you happy???
i'm still "with" AT&T Wireless, so smurf you, Cingular!
its odd, i left Cingular for AT&T, then a few short months later, they decided to go and have a merger...
yeah, if you decided to keep on as a AT&T customer, Cingular reeeeeeeally screws you hardcore... customer service is nonexistent for one, just about... i always get that pitying "oh, i see you haven't switched to Cingular" nonsense...
when my fiance decided it was time to change plans to something a bit less expensive (she was also an old skool AT&T hanger-on), not only did they make her sign a new two year contract on a plan with less perks, but they forced her to buy a new cell phone although the one she had had been working flawlessly on the "Cingular" network and had been showing "Cingular" in the service line on the phone for the past 5 months...
mine still sez AT&T Wireless...
and one more thing whilst i'm already venting about Cingular... a couple times the past month, i've almost taken the plunge and signed on for a cheaper plan (less perks) and a new phone, but i'm always met with the message (online) that i have an account past balance... its absolute smurf and cingular has yet to come up with a reasonable solution... i refuse to go to a brick-and-mortar as phone selection and prices are always higher and i just have a really icky feeling about doing that sort of thing over the phone...
so in review, Cingular blows...
VIVA LA AT&T WIRELESS!
edit: i guess i should add that no, i do not have a past due balance... just to clear things up...
