Re: Anybody here still game on a Mac
Well, that's where the games are these days.
I still play strategy and puzzle games on my Mac.
Anything else I'm interested in (that's available for Mac) has to run well or else I don't consider it.

Re: Anybody here still game on a Mac
I still do...all the time. I don't like console games as much. No doubt I'll play lots of windoh's games when I eventually get an Intel mac.

Re: Anybody here still game on a Mac
We seem to have quite an eclectic mix these days of Macs, BIY/ DIY/ factory PCs and consoles. Some have all three, probably the majority game on at least two of those types.
Native Mac gaming seems to be on a slow resurgence on the whole, as Intel Macs and more new games come along compared to last year.
That cuts both ways, tho, as the newer games are more demanding, leaving more and more PPCs unable to cope and/or without UBs of them to run.

I'd be glad to game on my Quicksilver w/ 7800GS...but everything is going Intel only now. Oh well, least WoW plays on it still. For everything else, its PC or nothin.

Re: Anybody here still game on a Mac
I do! oh wait no not really same goes for Windows it has been my 360 for a while now......
So far I have been able to compare WoW and NWN 1 on a Power Mac to Windows and the texture quality was not the same on the Mac.
I quit playing WoW so I cant compare it to an Intel Mac but I am considering C&C 3 and NWN 2 on the Mac when it comes out I want to know how well the Intel Mac only games look and run.......
I keep looking for demos on the Intel Mac only games but cant find any...

Re: Anybody here still game on a Mac
My most recent console is a PS2. I game on my Mac (Intel). Though I have Windows on it, I pretty much do the gaming thing on the Mac side.
Consoles are great, but I find the experience more rewarding on a computer.

I go to online flight simulators and it's still cross platform, but then it's online.

I play the occasional DotA, but since I quit WoW, it's been kind of dormant.

Re: Anybody here still game on a Mac
I reinstalled Halo 1 after buying the UB, only to find they haven't worked all the bugs out >.<
But I play WoW and puzzle games on my mac. I keep thinking about reinstalling Starcraft but aside from Aleph One I can't usually deal with going bad to old graphics games once I've played a lot of newer stuff. But that's just me.

I play Halo 1, but yeah, the UB version has some graphics bugs for me too. Not as bad as yours though. The MBP plays games wonderfully in Windows XP though, much better than my useless Vista machine

Yes; UT04, Halo, COD2, SW BF, Civ IV, Q 4 on my Mac. My kids play Lego SW, Zoo Tycoon, SW BF on their PB 17in and my iMac.
And I play a few games on our Wii with the kids.

Re: Anybody here still game on a Mac
I just got through Marathon Resurrected. I hope they'll convert Durandal as well. I've been scraping the bottom of the barrel for PPC games. Been playing a LOT of Battlefield 1942 in single-player mode, yelling at my AI counterparts when they lose a control point that I fought hard to gain, "You guys couldn't hold your dicks with both hands!"
I'm not wild about console play, either, but I have some consoles because I'd rather put money into a powerful Mac than a PC just for games. It's interesting now that I'll be able to do both whenever I move up to an Intel-based Mac! I just can't justify the purchase right now.

Didn't work for me either, but easy to find; it's the featured story today.
Math Blaster: Master The Basics Released
Knowledge Adventure recently announced the release of Math Blaster: Master the Basics for Mac OS X. Targeted at children ages 6 to 12, Math Blaster helps kids with math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
He's right, you know. Who needs UT3 when you have Math Blaster: Master the Basics?

The experience is exponentially funner with every passing minute! You can add that to my list!
