Is Apple going to break the iPhone hacks?

Everything points that way.  They already broke some ringtone hacks.

That's why I'm not getting one.  I'm not going to rehack it every two or three months.

Plus I'm not getting a Touch either because, mostly, you can't enter calendar events from the Touch.

It's a shame.  I have money burning a hole in my pocket.

Guess I'll get a new Macbook when Leopard comes out and sell the old one.

Man, this was moved within seconds of my posting it.  The mods are quick!  Or automated.

Re: Is Apple going to break the iPhone hacks?

Well they're going to break the hacks that unlock the sim card (or at least they'll try).

They said they don't really care about the people putting apps and stuff on the iphone, they're just not going to care if they break accidentally too. So I don't see the apps breaking all that bad. I'm still not going to do that though because none of the third party apps are all that appealing or work well (apparently).

Oh and I didn't move this.

I think it's pretty much guaranteed that the hacks will be broken.

Your not buying a great music player over something so stupid? How often do you actually add calendar events that this becomes a deal breaker? I don't get why everyone got so pissed over this minor news. It is the most minor of minor features, yet people are rioting over it.

i think it's pretty major. what happens when you want to add something to your schedule? like when you schedule a meeting or something? you have to wait until you get back to your computer? that's smurfing ridiculous.

Definitely, it's ridiculous.  If I got a Touch I would want it for it's PIM capabilities and for the wifi surfing.  Then it would be the video.  I already have a gumstick Nano that I like well enough for the music.
