QuickFold is simpler and just as good for most of us.
DO NOT FORGET OUR TEAM NUMBER: 18

QuickFold is for the console version of Folding. The "console" version is the the most efficient and silent of Folding software.

I updated the link in the Quick Fold SMP installer to reflect the new download URL.
post moved to avoid confusion between Intel and PPC installers

I've given up using InCrease (an installer written by another Mac group). An older InCrease erased my WU.

Note: before installing, drag the QuickFold SMP installer to the desktop and use that one to install. Then it's easier to get Quickfold off the desktop. For some reason, when installing with Quickfold from inside a DMG, it doesn't eject when done.

Re: Folding on Intel Macs, thread closed January 2008
A 2.0 Ghz iMac can put out 3 % per hour of an SMP protein under home usage. The deadlines are about 4 days. So , in this case, the iMac must run for 34 hours (let's say 40) for the WU to finish.

Re: Folding on Intel Macs, thread closed January 2008
I have decided to discontinue work on Quick Fold. It will be better for everyone, and better for troubleshooting, if everyone is using the same installer. So, if you need to re-install, use the installers from Stanford's site.
