...More CPU Upgrade issues...
I got my replacement Sonnet Duet today. I put it in, but now it hangs at the gray Apple screen on boot up.....I take that back, the first time it booted to open firmware, rebooted, and then hung at the screen.
Ideas? I want to cry...lol.

Have you tried resetting the PRAM (as the Mac is booting up, hold down Cmd-Opt-P-R)? This will reset the system clock along with other things, but this may be required when changing the CPU.

I just got another email back from Sonnet. I have to say, their customer support has been top notch, especially considering I bought this thing used. He said that the only time he's ever seen their cards stick someone in Open Firmware, it's been a bad card. I'll try the PRAM, otherwise, he offered to replace it again, this time picking up the shipping charges and such for me.

Good for them, although bad luck for you on possibly getting a bum card.
