What's with this "?"
Ever since I did an archive and install, there are question marks over Quicktime logos whever a Quicktime thingie should be. What's up with that?
I've seen this happen before, but I can't remember how to fix it.
Thanks for any help:D

Re: What's with this "?"
Like, the space at the top of the page, to the right of the Mac Life logo.
Or, videos on YouTube.
Insted of seeing whats supposed to be there, I see a QuickTime "Q" logo, with a "?" superimposed over the "Q", and, of course, It won't play videos.

What kind of videos are you trying to play? When you did archive and install, did you go get 3rd party quicktime plugins you may have previously loaded? Are you able to play a std QT video?

Re: What's with this "?"
Search for "quicktime" and drag the application icon to your dock. Drag the question mark out of the dock.
The question mark signifies a broken alias.

No, its not in the dock. The icon in the dock works fine.

Some play, some, I think, most, wont.

Your MIME settings sound screwed up.
Go to system preferences > quicktime > advanced > MIME settings.
Click "use defaults"
