Blackbooks come with what?
I was at the Apple Store last week getting some stuff for school fixed. Idly curious, I asked the Genius if Black Macbooks came with matching black power adapters.
Apparently, they don't?
This seems awfully un-Apple-like, I think.
(I know, economy of scale, blah blah. I'm usually the one who points that out.)
Still, too bad.

They don't. Same with apple remote.

Seems that since the intro of the iPhone, Jobs and Apple have let other concerns slide. Is Apple getting sloppy?

It's uniform in that I think all Apple cables are white. Headphones, usb cables, power adapters, all of it. The MacBook Pro's and the iMacs don't come with silver cables.

Eh? Even when the iBooks and iMacs and whatnot came in different colors the cords were always white (or transparent depending).

When the powerbook G3/G4 adapters were recalled, the units they were replaced with were the unweidly white hockey pucks.
Really, it's been going on for a while. But back in the day, the adaptor matched the laptop.

You me back when the powerbooks were black? Those were the only power adapters I can think of that weren't white. Apple has been going with the white thing for a really long time now.
PS: They were called yoyo adapters.

Was there any doubt as to the reason those thing were called yoyo adapters though. My BIL had two prematurely fray and short out.

I have a yoyo adapter (came with me Pismo) I like it; I can wind up the power cord.

ugg never-mind ... the plug for the 30" cinema screen and the mac pro got switched at some point.
