CD tray opens every time I turn G4 QS On

I have a QS G4 with the follwing upgrades, Gigadesigns 1.6Ghz CPU, 1.5GB Ram, Firmtek SATA PCI card, Radeon 9800 Pro, and Superdrive.

The problem is that last night the CD tray started openning up everytime I boot up the machine. It opens about 3 seconds after I push the power button.

Other wise the drive works fine, it reads and writes perfectly fine. The machine runs well with no other issues under OSX 10.4

any suggestions?

Take off the key for disk eject on your keyboard.

Repair disk permissions.  Reset PRAM.   Clear System and Finder caches.    This can be done with Yasu or Cocktail.
