LCD TVs

Tis the season to get a new TV.     Amazon shows some Toshiba 27" about $ 750.     I won't pay that much.     Where are the deals ?

TIA.  smile

Re: LCD TVs

I'm not too sure about deals, but try and snag a Sharp Aquos. Absolutely stunning picture quality!

Re: LCD TVs

The DOAs of the electronics section at the store that I work at has Aquos at 50%. I don't play those odds, but YMMV.

I recommend Vizio. They embarrass the competition in picture quality when taking in consideration the price.

Re: LCD TVs

I second the Vizio. Lots of big features for the buck in that brand. The 32-incher will cost you around $650 with tax. But get it at costco, and not the other store.

Re: LCD TVs

Newegg just sent me an e-mail.  If you're looking for inexpensive LCD's they have an Olevia 23" 720p for $350 and a 27" for $440.  Not terrible.

And you can't really beat this price http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … _-89102144

Re: LCD TVs

Last year, the prices on TV came sharply down after Christmas, and there were big sales in the week before the Superbowl.

Re: LCD TVs

I'm a fanboy of Samsung LCD's 40", 1080p, and 15,000:1 contrast ratio.

Re: LCD TVs

And now they have their super sweet LCD with the full HD and 25,000:1 contrast ratio.  Too bad the Sammys have a tendency toward problems.

My parents like their 1080p samsung 40".

Re: LCD TVs

I've had an 32" Aquos for over 2 years and it's been fabulous. I think paid $1300 for mine and that was a steal! lol

Re: LCD TVs

I'm a Dishnet customer, and I'm wondering if this offer is worth it: http://www.dishnetwork.com/sharp/

It doesn't say exactly how much of a rebate you get, which depends on the size of the tv, and you have to get it directly from Sharp, so the price would be msrp. It might be cheaper to buy it at Costco.

Re: LCD TVs

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

It looks like prices could be dropping so I'll wait a couple months.
