He won't sit still long enough!
But I will try.
He growls when he plays with his catnip mouse (actually he'd finding them all over the house), so I'm thinking about calling him Growler, or translating that into a different language. But I still just don't know.

Some name suggestions:
Catbutt McMeowMeowFace
Growly McCatNipEater
Fuzzface Magoo
Although I think Frank is fine too...

Re: New Kitty!
I got another grandcat a month or so ago. Medium-length version of the story: My daughter and her boyfriend shared a house and a cat. He kept the house when they parted, and therefore the cat, although he doesn't care much for cats. While out far away from old house, Daughter sees Found Kitty poster that looks much like her Cat. Call number, hear kitty (distinctive voice), much surprise and rejoicing, no call has yet been made to old boyfriend, Daughter's current place does not allow cats, and now Roc Kit buys more food and litter. Three cats and a fish are in my house all of which "belong" to my daughter and of course she will take them back if we want her to but she just needs to get settled...
I'm so glad we haven't yet gone through this process with a human baby...

Re: New Kitty!
So far the only thing he responds to is either a nice shrill "kittykittykitty" or "hey you!"

Re: New Kitty!
I once knew a guy who had a cat named Lloyd. Not the best cat name.
I suggest only keeping Frank (the name, not the cat) if you're ok with calling him "Franky". Frankly, I'd rather not.
He'd be better off with something like..
Funkmaster Fuzz

I didn't realize cats actually responded to their names or anything else for that matter that doesn't include "dinner" or "treat".
I still think you should keep Frank.

Re: New Kitty!
My cat always knew when she was being talked to. Whether or not she chose to listen was a different matter.

My cat responds to his name and the following:
- Foods! (means he's about to be fed)
- Treat! (he thinks his anti-hairball goo is a treat, which is fine by me)
- The squeak of my cold cuts drawer in the fridge, because that means he gets pepperonis
- Beds! (Hops into my bed to snuggle)
- Uppy! (Hops onto the couch to bite me when I try to pet him from there)
- Inside (Now that I have a fence outside my patio, I let him explore a bit when I go out for a smoke, and this gets him back inside when I'm done)
- Whoooooose a gooood babyyyy [said in a puppy dog voice] (Makes him run away because he knows I'm about to pick him up and cuddle)
- Nos! (Makes him stop whatever he's doing)
He's a very smart cat.

Finally, but as promised, here are some more pix. I borrowed my girlfriend's far superior digital camera (mine is a piece of smurf).
