Probably some of the clothes that I got, although I'll be damned if I won't get at least SOME use out of them. This year was a disappointment when it came to disappointments, so to speak.

My worst gift was a pair of painted candles shaped like Santa (or to be more accurate, St. Nicolaus, the european equivalent).  Very ugly and useless as well, since we rarely burn candles.  I haven't yet decided if they'll be tossed in with our box of other Christmas knick knacks or tossed in the garbage.

I'm interested to know how they've possibly managed to get the entire bible on DVD.  Can't be too good if it's been edited to death.  Then again, I'm far too atheist to open the package and find out.

I got a bunch of weird new age stuff from my mother. Books on astrology, weird energy channeling stuff, etc.

She knows I hate new age pseudo science with a passion, but a psychic told her that I will eventually adopt her weird superstitions in due time. So now she seems to think that I'll discover some sort of silly truth if she gives me enough swag.

Aaron's mom gave us a door knocker.  Now, I like door knockers fine, but this is a big, heavy one that doesn't match the style of our house at all.  The only people who generally come to our front door are the boys next door, and the last thing I want is them to have something to thump away with.  It took long enough to train them out of hitting the buzzer all the time.

I think my reaction showed, and immediately she said, "I'll take it back!"  But then of course Aaron had to go and say how pleased he was with the knocker.  I really don't want to drill holes in my door to hang that thing up.  I'm hoping that if I stick it in a box in the basement, it will simply be forgotten.  That side of the family really has a tendency to buy us random household items that we don't need, want, nor do they match our style.  And we've got lots of different styles going on!  Oh well.

Ha!  Now there's an idea!

A beard trimmer.  For the beard I don't have.
