can't open web graphics

Merry Christmas!  I'm using a MacBook Pro, OS 10.4.11. Occasionally when surfing I'm unable to open a picture. In its place is a question mark inside a blue box. Can somebody tell me what I'm missing? An example is on this site:

At the top it says "Check out this strange headstone..." and a couple of lines down is the question mark. I know it's some kind of software I don't have. I just don't know what it is.

Thanks,

Tom in Texas

Re: can't open web graphics

Right-clicking and selecting "open in new window" reveals that the picture is not found.

Thanks for clicking.

Re: can't open web graphics

It's not you it's the web developer of the site not correctly linking the image in the html.
