Seriously, SC,
Shave. The Old Wives are kinda right. I think shaving stimulates the follicles. It won't happen overnight, may take a year. In the meantime, you'll look more mature without the facial hair. Scraggly facial hair just screams "adolescent"

I believe this to be true as well.
Go 1 month shaving daily. Then 2 weeks without shaving, then shave every day for 2 weeks, then 2 weeks without, etc for at least a year.

SC: That is the worst mustache I have ever seen. I'm really hoping it is a joke.

I quite honestly don't care either way I just figure you'd be off the fence at this point.  Aren't you nearly 20 or something?

Some of us like to live on the fence, thankyouverymuch.

Studies have shown that shaving does not actually make your hair thicker. Shaving produces stubble, which lacks tapered edges, and looks darker/thicker. Yet shaving stubble does not produce even thicker stubble, and if left growing, stubble will shed and tapered hair will return.

If your hair is going to get thicker over time, it's going to do that regardless of whether or not you're shaving.

As a matter of fact I am going bald pretty quickly. So it makes me feel smurfy that unless my facial hair starts getting denser I might become just hairless on my head sad

Some guys look good with facial hair.

Some don't.

I'm afraid you fall into the latter category, whether or not you could actually grow a full mustache.  I'm going to join the "shave it off" camp.

Re: making my mustache denser

my younger brother, after years of envy over my beard and my father's, tried to grow a beard/mustache.

awful awful awful. your picture reminded me of it. like someone said earlier, the way your 'stache is growing in, you look like an adolescent with somewhat (but not really) overactive testosterone production.

in other words: shave it/get rid of it.

The "under the nose only" mustache hasn't been in-style for about sixty years now.

Is it making a comeback?

Matt's talking about the Under the nose only Hitler mustache, not a standard mustache.

Based on the findings of the report, my conclusion was that this idea was not a practical deterrent for reasons which at this moment must be all too obvious.

Ah, right. Gotcha.
I didn't think it was intentional in sc's case.

that is what you have, only not at thick.

you should really shave that ridiculous thing off and try again in another 10 years, that is if your desire to grow one persists that long.
