How about people chewing with their mouth open?  Sometimes I have to sit on my hands to avoid punching somebody in the face.

Re: Pet Peeves

I hate when religious people bash scientology.
I hate when people are like "oh you must be so smart" when I tell them I am getting a PhD in physics.
I hate when girls are clearly flirting by laughing too much. Makes me want to slap them.
I hate when people say smurf about my mustache.
I hate being poked.

Honestly, and I'm sorry to be mean, but it's not so much of a mustache as it is the result of shoving a cigarette up your nose and then sneezing.

I didn't think that too many people liked having a Hitler Mustache.

Well, if you think I'm a stereotype, that's your prerogative I suppose.  Though there are definitely a few people on this very forum I could name as far more in-line with the stereotypical el queero.

Agreed. What's worse is the 15 LCDs with people texting. All theaters should have non-conductive walls or whatever to ensure there is zero signal.

Re: Pet Peeves

I hate the phrase "a new beginning". It's redundant and trite.  Personally, I don't want a new beginning. I want an old tried and true beginning. Had enough of the trial and error beginnings, thank you very much. Perhaps I should say that I want a vintage beginning!

Not really.

It ALSO makes you less attractive to straight women (and maybe straight men, if that's possible) too.

What is the "stereotype," in your opinion?  Don't we get enough of this "stereotype" nonsense from society at large without contributing to it ourselves?

Re: Pet Peeves

I hate people who make unnecessary amounts of noise. Like my roommate. Who can only slam doors, cabinets, the dishwasher, the microwave, break dishes and talk loudly on the phone when she knows I am sleeping or studying or any other time of the day.

I also hate people who don't pick up after their dogs in public parks. Makes those of us who are responsible look bad and gets us banned from great walking trails.

It also peeves me when people ask dumb questions in class. We are already behind, we're still responsible for all material, even if it isn't covered, so stop asking about things that we won't cover until we get into Clinical Medicine and aren't important right now. ARG.

I hate it when people park where they aren't allowed, as if they are special in some way.

This, and I hate it when people can't even aim for the general middle of an allotted space. Had some bozo parked crooked next to my car when I was starting out at college, with only an inch between the fronts of our cars. Had to get in from the passenger side, and I smacked the door of his car with my door a few times in some sort of reptilian-brain rage.

tl;dr: Learn to park, don't take up two spaces, and stay out of handicapped spots if you don't have a legit hanger.
