I have a list of people to be notified in the event of my death. It includes email addresses.
I can only hope one of them will go to the trouble of starting a thread.
This is actually a really good idea. Most people don't think about this, as it's not the most pleasant thing to think about. But, it is probably one of the most responsible, most common-sense things, when you think of how connected we've become to everything else around us, via the internet, networking through our friends, coworkers, etc, etc. You can't just die off the days without at least a few people raising heads and wondering where you went. In the military, it's something they had us look at during basic training, along with a will. Granted, the average joe isn't going to take a bullet at work, it's still a very sporadic world, and even if your life is relatively uneventful, if you're online posting messages to various forums, where you've made some friends or many, the same technology with which you've propagated your personality can and probably should also be some means to notify those same friends of not only demise, but probably injury, as friends would naturally want to know.

I have a will, and I'm only 21. The last thing I want is my family (Irish Catholics) fighting my friends (frat boys) over my final wishes should something disastrous happen to me.

My barber is going to make posts on my behalf for several years just to confuse you.
Aw, he's no fun, he fell right over.

Okay, is this post from the real you, or is it your barber?

I'm planning on quitting this forum long before I die.
No offense.

None taken.
But you can plan all you want; it may not happen that way.

I miss Bird. I hope all is well with him. And his family.
No, we didn't see eye-to-eye on much of anything, but we always had spirited conversations, and, most always, on a civil level. We challenged each other to back up our opinions with reason. And that, sadly, is a rarity in this, and any other, forum.
