intel f@h not running anymore?
for perhaps a week now my client is not running. the only reason i really noticed is my computer didn't seem as laggy as before and i check in the activity monitor and voila: no f@h cores running. i turn it off and on in system prefs to no avail. restart, repair permissions, no luck. ideas?

Re: intel f@h not running anymore?
One of my machines is doing the same thing, just sitting idle though the other two are running fine. Do you have a sample of your log file to post? Maybe it's the same problem.
I am getting a lot of this:
Code:
[15:26:31] + Attempting to get work packet
[15:26:31] - Connecting to assignment server
[15:26:31] - Successful: assigned to (0.0.0.0).
[15:26:31] + News From Folding@Home: Welcome to Folding@Home
[15:26:31] Work Unit has an invalid address.
[15:26:31] - Error: Attempt #9 to get work failed, and no other work to do.
Waiting before retry. It was working just fine with the same settings last week but now it's dead.

Re: intel f@h not running anymore?
For INTEL Macs:
definitely, try deleting entirely and re-installing using the Folding@Home installer for your machine. your fah may have expired.
For PPC Macs: do nothing. There may be no proteins available for processing.

Done with no change to status, I'm guessing it's an issue on Stanford's end as I see the whole team is hurting in regards to output (Lack of PPC Protiens, maybe an X86 unit issue). I'll give it a day or two and see what happens.

Re: intel f@h not running anymore?
For people unable to get a new protein, try just deleting the "work" folder. Reboot ?

Let's post the last page of your FAHlog.txt file from a couple machines.

Everyone, check your machines. Stanford people are on the job. They think they fixed the issue.

Re: intel f@h not running anymore?
FD,
central folding HQ moderator requests data.
They would like full data. This means making a ZIP file of the entire Folding folder for backup and also for email to Susato. Please also mention the exact Mac model, cpu speed, date purchased and current version of operating system. I would also mention how much RAM you have.
I will PM to you his address. Email the works !

Re: intel f@h not running anymore?
OK, and the [total failure] I added, and I'm emailing the folder, alongside an output from system profiler, incase a setting or an app is interfering.
Thanks for clicking.
