Grainy Avatars
I've just noticed that quite a few avatars seem to be much grainier than they used to be-- any particular reason for this?

Re: Grainy Avatars
Geez, I read this as "Granny Avatars," laughed loudly, startled my roommate, told him what it said, reread it, realized I can't read, and became embarrassed.
That is all.
Although I haven't noticed anything like that. Any examples?

Re: Grainy Avatars
There was a bug a while back that people could only change their avatar to an image in a format that was alphabetically identical or came alphabetically before the format of their current avatar.
GIF>JPG>PNG
This meant the following:
If you had a png-formatted avatar, you could replace it with a png. You could also replace it with a gif or a jpg, but if you did, you could never replace the newer one with a png. (Jpg and gif come before png)
If you had a jpg-formatted avatar, you could replace it with a jpg. You could also replace it with a gif(but not a png), but if you did, you could never replace the newer one with a jpg or a png. (Jpg comes after gif, but before png)
If you had a gif-formatted avatar, you could only replace it with another gif. (Gif comes before jpg and png)
GIF and JPG images tend to be of poorer quality than PNG images.

Bug's still there, isn't it? Oh, well, even if it isn't, Safari's been crashing on me when uploading files, so I don't think I'll be changing my grainy avatar anytime soon.
