Um, yeah, you missed the fact that Macworld (there's no intercapped W, it's just "Macworld") is Mac|Life's major competitor. Why should M|L give its competitor more press than it already gets?

uh, yeah.  Check any of the press that MacLife gave the event.  Even on the front cover of the magazine!  Quite honestly, despite the fact that Macworld is a competitor to MacLife, Apple calls the event "Macworld Expo." So should the media.
