Battlefield Heroes Video Released

I gotta say, this looks like it has huge potential.  I'm a little disappointed to see that it's PC only though--anybody know if we're going to get some Cider action from EA on this'un?

Wow, they're definitely not trying to rip off Team Fortress, no siree.

But free is actually good. However I wonder how EA is gonna put advertising in a WW2 themed game.

Heavily and shamelessly.  But free is definitely good.

It's my understanding that the pricing for this game comes off of the addons.  If you want to have a certain outfit you'll pay out the nose for it.  It's the same pricing structure as was in that FIFA game in Korea.

What if you don't care about the outfits or anything like that?

Re: Battlefield Heroes Video Released

In that link I posted there's a sentence:

That market has become well known in the past few years for creating a new way of delivering games, where they are free to download and play, but where a small number of users pay for inexpensive items called ‘micro-transactions’, which provide revenue for the project.

EDIT: There will be advertisements during loading screens, but not during the game, and the things you can buy are purely cosmetic.  Link
