I just mentioned it, there was no politics in my original post.
BTW- I loved Night of the Lepus, I've seen numerous times. One of those "It's so bad it"s good" things.

Thank god it was from the library; I can walk there. And I can say that I didn't spend a dime on it.

in  retrospect it wasn't as good as Infernal affairs, which it took the story from. And the scene at the end with the rat was silly, and Nicholson, did a bit of scenery chewing.
That being said it was a good movie. Maybe not scorcese's best, but certainly one of the better movies of the year.

And how many times do you get to see a movie where Leo Dicaprio and Matt Damon and Anthony Anderson  all get capped in the head within five minutes of each other.

The movie was jarring simply because it had every single white guy in hollywood dumped into the same movie. It didn't help that I used to have a couple of them confused with each other.

Yesterday I watched "Point Break."
Now THAT was a hilariously stupid movie.

Re: Stupidest Movie Ever

Some of you are confusing bad and stupid. Some movies are incredibly stupid, but funny and worth seeing while some movies are just plain bad and not worth the time to watch.

Re: Stupidest Movie Ever

Nah, I would use those interchangeably...though I'd be much more likely to say "so bad it's good" than refer to such a film as "stupid."  I think I'd tend to use "stupid" for a film that lacked any redeeming quality.

Two movies that have no redeeming qualities whatsoever are Repos and Stepmonster.

I've finally gotten around to seeing these three films, so I thought I'd respond.

I really liked Michael Clayton.  3:10 to Yuma and Gone Baby Gone were decent films, but I didn't think either presented any serious competition to 'No Country' or 'Blood.'

I found the plot to be rather far-fetched in both films.

3:10 to Yuma was a decent movie nine-tenthes of the way through, then the ending ruined it.

I loved the ending. You just don't understand Wade's motivation.

Disagree, though i have heard a lot of people not like the ending.Personally found it to be it to be fascinating in its internal machinations.

And Michael Clayton was liberal drivel. Well acted, by all parties (even Clooney) but drivel nonetheless. That could have been a movie on Lifetime tv, it was so banal and ordinary. What was at all special about it?

Re: Stupidest Movie Ever

I thought it was a compelling story and I enjoyed watching it.

What's so "liberal" about it?  The suggestion that a corporation would attempt to hide a known product 'defect?'  Unheard of!

AWWW...I loved Gone Baby Gone.

And...I, as a die hard conservative, loved Michael Clayton. Liberal drivel, it is not. Also, 3:10 To Yuma has a great ending.

And popular opinion is on my side, btw.

All three films were critically acclaimed.

I've been hoping the best stuff wasn't all being shown in the ads, but somehow I've got a feeling Iron Man might be decent.

Not like I'm actually going to go to the theatre or anything.....
