Pimp your MacPro
Remember that article in MacAddict about how to shine some light on the inside of your Power Mac G5? I sure liked that and had a lot of fun pimping out my G5.
Recently I received my new Mac Pro and without that cool light shining through the grater, it just seemed so.. unfinished, so empty inside.
So I put in some green CCFL lights: one 10 cm stick in left-to-right direction behind the superdrive, one in front-to-back direction underneath it. This way you don't look directly into the light, but you get a more subtle lighting on the inside.
Then I took a 80 mm CCFL circle from a CCFL fan enclosing - that right, I just used the CCFL to minimise the air resistance - and put it behind the top fan. It's too bad there are still no custom circle 120 mm CCFL's for the Mac, but this will do. Here's a pic I took with my iSight (so a little blurry):
Anybody else did something simular? How about tips to get the rest of the box lit? I have no clue how to get behind the rest of the fans..

Take the cover off and make a clear replacement with lights in it

If it were just a cheapo PC case I would think about it, but why waste a 3 mm thick sturdy anodized aluminium plate with the Apple logo etched in already? Also, you'll never get the lock (and 'airways') to fit as snugly as it does now.
Also, a metal case is nice shield against a lot of radiation of all kinds.
