Those Athena tower speaker (ws100) go for $600.00. I got then for $170 (70% off) at Comp during there last weekend of going out of business (they were in a spot where know body could see them and I got LUCKY!). The Athena Sub I got for $150 regularly $300 at the same Comp going out of business, but two weeks prior.
Bottom line, I’m a fool who will be contributing to bush’s stim package. Just for the couch though.

Years ago, Ontario did this as well. These are pure gimicks to buy voters with their own money. There was no pressing need for consumer stimulous. But the recent U.S. move is intended to get cash into consumer's hands, as opposed to merely taxpayers hands.

We got our income tax rebates yesterday. A whopping $238. I'll be using mine to pay my accountant and maybe buy some supplies for a basement renovation.

yeah. still haven't gotten our yet. for some reason we got bumped back to today (may 8th) and there still isn't anything in our account to reflect its been deposited.
all very weird. perhaps the gov't knew we were taking that money to England with us next week...

I didn't even think about how they were going to dispense the money until I saw this thread. I had new tax preparers this year and we owed (good news because it means my husband's business finally turned a little profit), so I paid through eftps. The new preparers didn't ask for our banking info, so I assume we will get a check around mid June according to my SS #.

Did you ever get your money? My daughters check wasn't deposited on the 9th or 16th I can't remember which. She's been trying to get a hold of them to find out what happened to her check, but no luck yet.
