Boom Blox

I tried to hold out for as long as possible, but yesterday I broke and picked up a copy of Boom Blox.  I have no regrets!  This game is one of the most enjoyable that I've played in quite some time.  I'm not a typical "puzzle gamer;" I enjoy my fair share of wanton killing and destruction just like any other 18-24 year old male.  In the way that Portal distilled a lot of great aspects of gaming into one super package, Boom Blox trims away the fat that hangs off of most games for the Wii.  It is pure fun.

Sure, the graphics aren't the best, and sure, the Wii slows down occasionally, but that's something I'm willing to suffer through.  I have other minor quibbles, like how you can't re-arrange blocks when picking them up.  Despite those, though, in the end I just don't care.

If you have a Wii and you're in any way attracted to puzzles, or even if you aren't, do yourself a favor and pick up Boom Blox.

(Why don't we have a Boom Blox Max?)

I do not think that word means what you think it means.

Re: Boom Blox

Boom Blox is the best game you can purchase for a Wii currently.

Yes, it's better than Brawl and Mario Kart.

If you want to play it for free you can just download Toblo:

It is a IGF winning game some of my classmates made a few years back. It is probably where the "inspiration" for Boom Blox came from...

Mac Pro, Two 3GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon,  NVIDIA 8800 GT, 7 GB RAM.
15" Macbook Pro, 2.8Ghz Core 2 Duo, NVIDIA 9600 M, 4 GB RAM.

Yeah, so I guess it is more for bootcampers.
