This is ridiculous
http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/200 … ewer_N.htm
SACRAMENTO (AP) — Vaune Dillmann thought the wording on his bottle caps was just a clever play on the name of the Northern California town where he brews his beer — Weed.
Federal alcohol regulators thought differently. They have ordered Dillmann to stop selling beer bottles with caps that say "Try Legal Weed."
While reviewing the proposed label for Dillmann's latest beer, Lemurian Lager, the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau said the message on the caps he has been using for his five current beers amounts to a drug reference.
In a letter explaining its decision, the agency, which regulates the brewing industry, said the wording could "mislead consumers about the characteristics of the alcoholic beverage."
Dillmann scoffs at the notion that his label has anything to do with smoking pot.
I like their Golden Ale.
I love their Pale Ale.
I think the caps are awesome.

I think this is true " the wording could "mislead consumers about the characteristics of the alcoholic beverage."
But I don't know if its the place of the fed. gov to step in and force him to change it.

Personally I think due to the elevation in Weed, CA (3,425 - located right near the base of Mt Shasta) - they should use "High in Weed"

While it wouldn't fit on the bottle cap -
"A Quality Weed Product"

The ATF disagrees.
Jesus said to the servants, "Fill the jars with water"; so they filled them to the brim. Then he told them, "Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet." They did so, and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew.

What happened to free speech? I mean this is on his bottle caps, right? It's not in his Federally Required list of ingredients?
If this guy had deep pockets he could probably fight this.

This is just one more thing that clearly shows they're losing ground with each new generation of kids. How very transparent.

You really think anything is going to change? Sure, we will finally have a president that can speak in complete sentences, and who likely won't embarrass the nation every time he's allowed out of the White House, but in all seriousness, I don't see it.
Maybe I'm getting cynical, but I don't see anything changing substantially no matter who wins.

I think we'll have someone who will appoint people based (at least in part) on their competence and experience opposed to simply putting in folks who have the right political ideology. Clinton and Bush 41 had their moments, but did - for the most part - appoint competent people to head up government organizations.
I'm not even sure why the ATF even exists. There's a whole lot of federal law enforcement agencies running around nowadays. How did that happen?

I bet the aluminum his beer caps are made of came from another state. Whoops, interstate commerce! Feds can get their hands in it!
