Catalyst 8.5 out
It's been awhile since I mentioned a driver release, but I thought I should mention this one. A number of notable features are debuted and the kicker is that this is the first Cat (AMD/ATi) release WHQLed with XP SP3.

Still does not work on my Vista 32 machine. I have never been able to launch the control panel since I got the machine.

Then again, Vista 32 isn't XP SP3, which is what I was noting.
Anyway, you and I know shooting trouble is often anything but easy; the latest version Avast AV notes
Version 4.8.1201 improves compatibility with Windows XP SP3.
(I'm getting that now, since apparently AVG 8 still has issues). And that still isn't Vista. Winders always demands attention to potential software conflicts.
Hopefully I'll know this week about Vista 32 and CCC from experience.
