Walking with Dinosaurs
I went to Walking with Dinosaurs: The Live Experience on Saturday. They added the show here at the last minute apparently; it isn't even listed in the Tour Schedule in the souvenir book. Who would have thought it would come to tiny little Saskatoon, SK when the only other show in Canada was in Vancouver at the end of February!
What an amazing show. And it was so exciting to see my nephews' faces (7 and 10 years old). I'm sure glad we went for the more expensive tickets; we had GREAT seats!
Have any of you seen the show?

Oh, no, that's an animated thing. This is the live show with robot/puppet/real dinosaurs, full size, fighting, eating each other, etc. Not nearly the same thing.
Has nobody seen this? I'm surprised.

Not in my area but my area is pretty of the beaten path (merely 250,000 across 2 cities, 8 towns, 1 village, all of which are in close proximity and 70 miles from the nearest big city). The closest we get is the yearly knock off version at the Brevard Zoo.

Well that seems pretty big to me! Okay, it depends on what that 70 mile away city is!

Orlando
The city proper has over 220,000 people but Greater Orlando (AKA Metro Orlando or the Orlando area) has over 2,000,000 people.
You must be Mickey-sized by now!
Unfortunately, the tour doesn't seem to be hitting Florida at all. Too bad, it really isn't to be missed.

Unless you become as little children, there's no way you will believe this crap.

Damn! You young whippersnappers!
I didn't have to walk with dinosaurs on animation or animatronics, I did it with the real thing!
Let me tell you, they had bad breath.

There is an actual TV program about the making of this program. It documents the whole production from the drawing board to the first show in Britain. The actuall making of these incredible robots is almost more impressive than the finished product. I've only seen it on PBS though.

Re: Walking with Dinosaurs
I took my granddaughter Saturday, in Birmingham, Alabama, & it was great! Surprisingly small crowd tho... I didn't buy any souvenirs, & now I'm trying to find a souvenir program somewhere... They still don't have an merchandise set up on the website. The only other shows they have listed right now are in California, & then, I THINK, back to Canada.
