What would you do with 1000 MacBook topcases?
If you had 1000 MacBook topcases, what would you do with them?
I need suggestions fast.

You might contact places like iFixIt and see if they might be interested in buying them from you.

Too bad you're not talking about the lcd lid. I actually need one, in good condition, for a project. I have a bottom case, practically brand new, and now need a top.

I dunno, could you cut them up and make a hallowe'en costume out of them? Some kind of suit of armor, maybe?

hmm.. i'm thinking a sequin suit.
only instead of sequins.. they're MacBook keys. that say things.
problem with macbook keys off of the keyboard is that they look like scrabble pieces. especially the letters that also have the numbers in the bottom corner.

i did say "what would YOU do?" though. it's not like i necessarily get to keep them. some customers just need a large amount of top-cases replaced all at once. like at the end of a school year. Hypothetically speaking.

Huh, lucky I found this thread, I have a crack in the case in exactly the spot other people are getting cracks, the general consensus is a defect hat may be fixable under Applecare. I was just going to let it go, because I figured they'd say I damaged the case somehow, but now that I've seen other people with †he same problem I think I will try getting AppleCare to fix it. Anyway, hope the OP figures out what to do with the topcases, those should be worth something

I'd sell one to me so I can anodize it and add it to my blacked out MacBook Pro.
Except they're MacBook cases. So that sucks.

The cable that goes to the mother board might have some USB equivalent parts, maybe they could be made into cute little keyboards. Or Media Center lapboards while keeping the trackpad.
