Re: Hillary about to call it quits?

After watching her speech I was surprised that she did not concede. It was almost as though she was defiant despite the VERY APPARENT numbers that she has lost. I was giving her the benefit and letting every vote in every contest be cast & counted. However once you have lost acknowledge it and move on. Her line of I will not make any decision tonight basically told me she couldn't care less about the party, but only her own misguided dreams and illusions of grandeur.

Wow, McCain's speech tonight was pretty smurfing terrible.

Re: Hillary about to call it quits?

Anyone else watch Obama's speach in addition to Clinton's?

I was overwhelmed by the difference in tone. In all the coverage of the horse race, it's kind of been overlooked that Obama's run an incredibly classy campaign.

So what. Obama can give a decent speech, but he falls apart when he doesn't have a teleprompter in front of his face. He has no experience, no substance, and and he is completely vacant when it comes to a basic understanding of American history and principles. Top all that off with his incredible naivte and you have a recipe for disaster. McCain has his flaws, but he is so much more qualified than Obama that it is sad.

And if I had a $5 bill for every time I heard Hillary utter a "You know" or some other asinine filler phrase I wouldn't have to pay for gas the rest of the year. You democrats and liberals have really put yourselves in a bad position. There are many more qualified Democrat politicians out there that can give good speeches, be good for the country, and still get elected. But no, you nominate a dumbo eared doofus that actually believes he can negotiate with and persuade terrorists and their sponsors to be good citizens of the planet. It is truly laughable. Perhaps depressing would be more appropriate.

Should the democrat party win both houses of congress and the White House in November? Probably, but it will not happen. Obama is just too weak and flawed to beat McCain.

And you ignored the main point of my post. Typical.

You won't get much of resistance from me in a debate about the Bush presidency as a whole. There have been mistakes and he has been rather disappointing in most regards. However, when it comes to his primary responsiblity of protecting this country, he has performed well. Behold, there have been no successful attacks on the homeland.

I know that doesn't account for much among the leftists on this board that think Bush is a civil liberty squashing Nazi, but whatever. If terrorists had beheaded small children at an elementary school in San Franwhacko you would be crying that Bush didn't do enough.

Re: Hillary about to call it quits?

Of course, not to beg the question, but I think that the risks of living in a free society mean that you don't have security beathing down your daily life.

The extreme situation you posit can be given an equally extreme true situation. That of the terrorists who held an entire Opera house in Moscow hostage, with patrons inside, or the elementary school that was taken over by terrorists in Russia.

In both instances strong action was taken by the Russian security forces, which, according to the tenor of your post, I think you would agree with.

Unfortunately, the casualty rate amongs the opera goers was very high, as was the casualty rate amongst the students of the elementary school.

But as a consolation, not ONE of those terrorists survived.

Ummm, there was one successful attack.
Next time you are in NYC I'll show you exactly where it took place.

it's the Democratic party.

That's the actual name.

Not the "democrat" party.

I meant since 9/11, but I suspect you knew that. You're either being obtuse or petty. Neither of which are very flattering.

And I call it the democrat party because it ceased being the party of democratic principles when JFK was killed. I know that probably bothers you, but you'll just have to soldier through it.

Someone seems to think by virtue of the fact that you posted democrat party you suddenly march in lock step with Rush Limbaugh and agree with every opinion he has ever had on everything.
