If you're not doing anything wrong you have nothing to fear from government intrusion, right?

Which of your rights have been personally violated?

Mine personally? None--that I'm aware of.
The thing is, I take those rights so seriously that I actually look beyond my own personal situation to stand up for the rights of others. Do those "others" sometimes involve individuals who have done wrong? Absolutely.

Re: Hillary about to call it quits?
You really can't tell if your communications have been illegally listened too, since the Bush Administration is saying they are so secret that they can't even tell a court about them.
So, how would you know?
Now the more blantant things, well, other than suspending habeas corpus for enemy combatants, and the relaxing of rules for wire-tapping...
Of course they can declare anyone an enemy combatant, or target anyone for special rendition. But again, how would you know once it happened, or rather how would you tell someone?
I'm not dead yet.

So you are going to help bring lawsuits for people who you think have had their rights violated?

A bored telco employee or 15 year old kid could be listening to your phone calls at any time and you wouldnt know it. But if those calls were used against you in a proceeding and you felt they violated your rights, then ask your lawyer to try to get them thrown out. The judge decides if your argument holds merit.

Sounds like a situation for someone to sue the government and get a ruling by the judicial branch. Thats what its there for.

This administration has argued that in many situations, the courts do not hold jurisdiction or cannot have access to the information necessary to make such rulings.

Of course, not to beg the question, but I think that the risks of living in a free society mean that you don't have security beathing down your daily life.
Law abiding citizens do not have security beating down or breathing down their daily lives. Should we citizens be weary and vigilant of government encroachment on our daily lives and civil liberties? Hell yes, but to say that such infringements are occuring daily during the Bush administration is pure hyperbole.

The extreme situation you posit can be given an equally extreme true situation. That of the terrorists who held an entire Opera house in Moscow hostage, with patrons inside, or the elementary school that was taken over by terrorists in Russia.
In both instances strong action was taken by the Russian security forces, which, according to the tenor of your post, I think you would agree with.
Unfortunately, the casualty rate amongs the opera goers was very high, as was the casualty rate amongst the students of the elementary school.
But as a consolation, not ONE of those terrorists survived.
I am aware of both instances you cite. I don't necessarily agree with all the actions of the Russian government and I certainly don't like the idea of innocent civilians being killed; but what else could the Russians do? Negotiate and wait for the terrorists to kill every one or make an attempt to save at least some of those innocent people? No, action was required.

What does Rush Limbaugh have to do with anything?
Someone seems to think by virtue of the fact that you posted democrat party you suddenly march in lock step with Rush Limbaugh and agree with every opinion he has ever had on everything.
Got it. So he's a liberal that listens to Limbaugh. No wonder he's so angry.
I always find it funny that those on the left disparage people like Limbaugh. Truth is, Limbaugh, Coulter, Kraughthammer, et al completely devour the mental midgets on the left every day. The left can't win the argument with valid counter points so they resort to petty behavior and childish insults like those of Bratboy.

Reasonable people are pretty easy to converse with, but talking to the extremists is like trying to hold a meaningful conversation with the AustinPowers AIMBot.

So the guy who uses terms like "San Franwhacko" and "Democrat party" is chastising another for "petty behavior and childish insults."
