Help Please. 8500 Part Needed.

Hi all,

When I was going to install a PCI card in my 8500 I shattered the plastic bracket that flips up and holds the processor and PCI cards in place (don't know my own strength I guess) . Does anybody know where I could find a replacement for this.

If so please email me directly at bjmorris@gocohens.com

Thanks,
Brad

If you go to macpart.com, they have them. The guy (I know him) has like 6 8500 cases. I am sure he would be willing to sell you the part you need. his name is Art. tell him Mike from Ontario sent ya. smile

You don't have to have it. I've broken/lost many in 85-9600s. They all managed to stay running. Even managed to break a couple of the fan brackets too. Still no probs. It may not have been your fault. I've noticed that the plastic on older Macs gets brittle and snaps easily.
