Looking for a net data/transfer recorder/counter

Hello everyone,

What I'm looking for is some type of software that can record the amount of data I upload and download. I ask because I have a cap every month and I'd like to note exactly how much I use so I don't go over.

Presently I use menumeters which does tell me, but it resets every time I restart or shutdown etc, and I can never remember to check it. Also I'm not the only net user, so that really doesn't help.

If anyone can suggest some type of software or anything that would be nice. I already did some google searches but wasn't able to find anything like that.

Thanks!

What do you do? they ask. And I say: Web Designing, Gardening & Cooking.

If your ISP has a cap, they should have a way to check your usage, no?
