Stuck with NN 4.7 in these forums
When I registered in these forums, I was using Netscape 4.x. I now mainly use IE 5 or NN 7.0. However, I can't post replies or start topics with anything but Netscape 4.72. Whenever I try with a newer browser, My username and password aren't recognized. I tried re-registering, but I'm then told that someone else already has that user name/password. Of course! I have it, but I'm only recognized with NN 4.7.
Does anyone know a way to fix this? I suppose I could re-register with a different user name and password, but I'd rather not. Even if I did, would I have to make up a seperate user name password combo for IE 5 & NN7? What if I used Mozilla? Would that require a third set of ID?

If you're on OS X, use Safari.

Have you tried logging in?
Are you sure you know your password?

Yeah, I try logging in, but my password is only accepted in NN 4.7.
I don't have OS X. I don't think my poor ol' beige G3 could handle it.

I had 'em e-mail me a new password. So I'm replying with IE. I'm wondering if NN 4.7 will still work now.

As Altivec suggests be sure to delete your www.macaddict.com and macaddict.com cookies. Also be sure JavaScript is turned on in your preferences. Java is not required.

The funny thing is, that sometimes I can't log out. Really. I have to dump the cookies and restart the browser. No big deal you say, but the problem is that not only can I not log out but no threads change status. If I read it, it will stay marked as unread.
Kind of annoying, but I can live with it.
