[snake] 1 year, 200 grams
Abbott bloodline Okeetee phase Corn Snake
When she arrived, as a fresh neonate:
She's almost a year old, yesterday measured 200g, and is now eating adult mice:
Note that most corns don't grow that fast, she's just from a particularly large fast growing line. Usually it takes them 2 years or so to hit 200g.
Earlier this year - well before she's even a year old - I was letting her crawl around with my male, and he started putting the moves on her ... I had to interrupt it as she was only 100g and while they can breed that small, it really is risky to let them try in captivity (captive snakes are not as strong as wild snakes so when bred small, egg binding often results).
Anyway - I'm very happy with her, she's definitely going to be breedable next season - and she's a real looker.
It's amazing the color change they go through.

I get hot just thinking about her!
Alright, now, who wants to be transistorized?

Oh! They grow up so fast, don't they?
Grandfatherly advice: You can drink 'em pretty, but you can't drink 'em smart.

Yes - she's extremely tame.
In general, corn snakes are extremely docile. Sometimes as neonates they can be a bit nippy, but even most neonates are extremely docile.

Wow - our one year old certainly isn't that big. I'm thinking we're probably feeding her a little slow though. About every 10 days.
She's doing real well though, very pretty and active. Very tame too - till she's been fed and is looking for a second! We have a bag of fuzzies and are giving her two per and she's pretty casual about the first then gets into it.

Part of it is my feeding frequency - generally about every 5 days or so, but most of her size is due to her genetics - Abbott Okeetee's have their ancestry from a region known for big corns (Jasper County - the Okeetee Hunt Club) and were selectively bred for their striking colors and fast growth rate.
I have some corns that are her age and only weigh about 60 grams.
Once they start eating weanlings - they start putting on size and weight fast.
