Re: 10.5.4 out

When I sat the usual suspect I meant just the plugin or two whenever that always breaks whenever an OS update updates certain web apps. Nothing that can't be hacked by updating version numbers until the new version of the plugin is released.

Re: 10.5.4 out

Don't know for sure but since it "includes recent Apple security updates", I can say it definitely closes the door on four remote exploits.

Not yet.

Besides the other security updates and all the fixes to iCal, this update is mostly about the not too talked about issue where many Adobe CS3 files were corrupted when saving to an AFP mount. Which is to say: creative companies, design firms, schools, etc. that have Apple file servers or Windows file servers running AFP (OS X Server or ExtremeZ-IP, for instance) and upgraded to Mac OS X v. 10.5.3 were having tons of corrupted CS3 files. This is almost a hotfix.

Re: 10.5.4 out

Now when I export a pic (e.g. drag from the browse pick)  the result is it ends up to the far right of the screen as opposed to random placement where i originally wanted it. Up to this update I used to be able to choose the pick and choose image Placement anywhere I desired on the desktop. You should be able to put your drag pix wherever you want, like before,No? Otherwise this is very Widows like and LAME.

Anybody else having this issue.

This only an issue with my Intel, not my PPC. PPC does not do thi this.

OK, I looked around the Finder a bit more under View. To change it back: Show View Options/Arrange and choose None

I have no idea how this got changed!

So that's what the Finder Gnomes look like. I wonder if they have my underpants, too.

Re: 10.5.4 out

Try Atomic Beef. I know it's not the same but it's an acceptable alternative IMO.
