Re: bnw fwtdm with pci card?

ok now i am very confused. ii went thru all the links that the author supplied and some say u can boot firewire, some say u cant.

also on lowendmac it says that the bnw cannot boot usb but it also says it can, and some people say so.

wot the hell is the deal? lost and totally confused.

Straight from Apple.

http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=58606

You may also try updating the firmware on the B&W.

edit. nevermind your looking at doing it from a pci card.

See link below

Re: bnw fwtdm with pci card?

ok no firmwares for b&w

does not boot from sata card usb2 card nor internal firewire.  this hack does work.  it takes a long time tho, and better to tdm from a more powerfull mac then use it as tdm in b&w.

after that the b&w tdm loads a hair under the sata hard drive's speed.

it does not work with random drives tho.  u must make the registry recognize the drive that u have.

& thanks dhack for your suggestions
