Does anyone here use a blackberry?
I have a mac pro at home and I recently got a blackberry with verizon. I want to know if it possible to make is so even if my blackberry grabs an email from my gmail account, Mail will grab it when I get home.
Right now, I see two options. The first is to use the blackberry email app. The other is to use the gmail app that is made for the blackberry. Any suggestions?

I am going to be buying on soon hopefully. I think that if you use the blackberry mail and use imap, the mail will be pushed to your blackberry and if you read it, show up as read on your mac.

no that it the protocol used... ie imap or pop3 ...
If you use IMAP you will have your emails on both your BB and mail.app

So imap is the protocol used by mail on my macpro. I just need to change that and use the gmail app on my blackberry? One thing I have noticed is that right now when I send a email thrrough my blackberry I get a notification 2 min later telling me what I sent. Its pretty anoying.

you maybe using pop3 in mail.app ... thinks will work better if you are using imap on the BB and in mail.app

I love my Blackberry, been using BB for about two years now. Haven't used the Gmail app yet, but the regular email is really good and the Facebook app is tremendously useful for communication through that platform.

I think I understand your question, and having been a BB user for 5 years myself (right up until I got my iPhone that I'm posting this from), and I can tell you gmail can be a pain-in-the-@$$ with a BB. I would offer up this as the solution: go online to your gmail account & create a rule for all mail arriving to your inbox to be forwarded to your BB. I even created a secondary address just for mail arriving from gmail. Just use your BB as a "viewer" for your Gmail account, and setup a secondary account with your original gmail account as the "reply-to" address.
Why? Well, 2 reasons:
1: Using the POP protocol to deliver messages while leaving a copy in your box eventually leads to a problem with your BB receiving the same messages in a continuous loop. This apparently is due to the fact that POP was never meant to operate like that (I don't know that for a fact, I asked a programmer, and that's what he said). 
2: This allows you more complete control over the mail that gets delivered to your PDA, acting as sort of a secondary junk filter... If anyone does subscribe you to a list, you can kill off the other e-mail address easier than re-establishing your BB handset's RIM designated e-mail (example@vzw.blackberry.net)...
